What I take care of

From a door that won't close to a room that needs a fresh coat of paint — if it's on your list, it's a job I do every week. No job too small, no halfway fixes.

Home repairs

Doors that stick, drawers that won't slide, trim that's come loose, caulking that's given up. The everyday fixes that keep a house working the way it should.

02

Fixture installation

Ceiling fans, light fixtures, faucets, hardware. Installed level, wired safe, and cleaned up after — no mystery parts left in a drawer.

03

Drywall & painting touch-ups

Holes patched, cracks sealed, walls and trim repainted to match. The kind of repair guests never notice, because it looks like nothing ever happened.

Small carpentry

Shelving, trim work, deck boards, custom fixes where off-the-shelf won't do. Measured twice, cut once, built to last.

Punch lists & maintenance

Selling a home? Moved in recently? Hand me the list and I'll work through it top to bottom — one visit, one invoice, every line checked off.

About JL Thompson

JL Thompson Construction, LLC. is a one-stop handyman and repair service for homeowners across Brevard County, Florida — Cocoa, Rockledge, Melbourne, Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, and the towns in between. I'm a hands-on tradesman: when you call, you talk to the person who'll actually be doing the work.

For 25 years, most of my jobs have come from word of mouth: a neighbor's door hung right, a friend's ceiling fan installed straight, a relative's punch list knocked out before the movers arrive. That's the business I've built, and it's the one I intend to keep.

You'll get a clear estimate before any work starts, straight answers about what needs doing now and what can wait, and a cleanup when the job's done. That's the whole pitch.

What homeowners say

Straight talk from homeowners we've worked for.

“Called on a Tuesday, had my stuck doors, loose railing and a leaky faucet all fixed by Friday. Fair price, no mess left behind, and he explained everything in plain English.”

Mike R.

Home repairs

“We were selling the house and had a punch list a mile long. He worked through every item in two visits and the buyers' inspection came back clean. Worth every penny.”

Sandra K.

Punch list & maintenance

“Polite, punctual, and tidy — he wore shoe covers and vacuumed before he left. The shelving he built looks like it came with the house.”
